Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners seeks a patient-care coordinator to support a dermatology clinic at the AZ Support Center in Phoenix. The role involves contacting patients, communicating pathology results, and coordinating with providers to ensure timely care.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a doctor's office, preferably with dermatology EMA experience, and demonstrates professional appearance, compassion, and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Contact patients daily to communicate pathology results and answer questions.
  • Maintain effective telephone communication.
  • Liaise with providers via email or phone.
  • Schedule appointments across multiple providers using practice software.
  • Utilize EMA EMR for patient records and updates.
  • Activate patient portals so records are accessible.
  • Handle triage calls and route tasks accordingly.
  • Update pharmacy changes and send refills when indicated.

Job Location: AZ Support Center 4225 - Phoenix, AZ 85032

Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities/Tasks
  • Contact patients daily to communicate patients Pathology results effectively and answer patients questions when needed.
  • Effective/strong telephone skills.
  • Ability to communicate with providers whether through emails or phone calls.
  • Competent with the terminology needed to perform the job.
  • Able to schedule appointments with multiple providers using Next Gen Practice Management.
  • Good understanding using EMA Electronic Medical Records.
  • Able to triage phone calls. Can help answer the patients concerns regarding their Pathology results.
  • Able to activate the Portal for the patient so they may view their records or pathology results.
  • Answer triage calls and task teams.
  • Update pharmacy changes.
  • Send medication refills when indicated.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize each day.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member with providers and other staff.
  • Self -starter.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to reach weekly goals as a team.
  • Motivation to succeed as a team.
  • Create a culture of patient excellence and delivering customer service.
Qualifications
  • Education: Certification not required, but preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, etc.)
  • Experience: Minimum two years experience in a doctors office. Prior dermatology experience. EMA experience preferred.

Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, postal machines, etc.

Work Environment:

Position is in a well-lighted medical office environment. Occasional evening and weekend work.
