Job summary

Platinumderm in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a detail‑oriented Medical Office Assistant for a full‑time role. You will contact patients to communicate pathology results, assist with EMA charting, and coordinate scheduling with dermatology providers.

Strong phone skills, clear communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office are essential. Certification is preferred but not required; prior dermatology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: Certification not required, but preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, etc.)
• Experience: Minimum two years experience in a doctors office. Prior dermatology experience. EMA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients daily to communicate pathology results and answer questions.
• Maintain effective telephone communications and professionalism.
• Communicate with providers via emails or phone calls as needed.
• Schedule appointments with multiple providers using Next Gen Practice Management.
• Utilize EMA Medical Records for patient information and updates.
• Triage patient calls and assist in addressing concerns.
• Activate patient portals for record access and pathology results.
• Process medication refills and update pharmacy changes.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize daily tasks in a team setting.
