Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced dermatology clinics. You will support physicians with examinations, document medical histories, and help with biopsies, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a medical office, dermatology experience, and strong communication and organizational skills. Certification is preferred but not required; EHR experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required.
• Medical Assistant training is required.
• 2–3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant.
• Prior Dermatology experience is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette.
• Teamwork.
• Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from the exam room and prepare them for examination.
• Enter complete medical histories and current medications into the chart.
• Assist Physician/Provider by scribing notes in the medical record.
• Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, sutures, and cosmetic procedures.
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Daily cleaning and organization of exam rooms and stocking.
