Qualifications

• Master of Science required.
• Pathologists’ Assistant Certification (ASCP) or eligible for certification or Illinois licensed MD/DO with current or completed enrollment in anatomical pathology.

Responsibilities

• Performs gross examination and dissection of surgical biopsies and large specimens; ensures specimen integrity and accurate identification.
• Assists pathologists with intra-operative consultations and prepares materials for imaging and review.
• Maintains imaging files, organizes radiology files and photography.
• Participates in resident training and supports laboratory operations.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance; follows SOPs and maintains clean work areas.
