Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP seeks a dedicated Intellectual Property Services Assistant (IPSA) to support the Health Care Life Sciences Practice Group. You will manage patent filing, IDS handling, and correspondence with clients and foreign associates under firm guidelines.

The role requires 4+ years in patent prosecution support, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a hybrid in-office setting. Familiarity with USPTO rules and iManage is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four+ years of patent prosecution support experience in a legal or professional services setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file patent documents with the USPTO and foreign offices.
• Manage IDS reference lists across multiple patent families and jurisdictions.
• Draft prosecution documents for review and submission by attorneys/paralegals.
• Monitor U.S. and foreign docket deadlines and maintain client portfolios.
• Communicate with clients and foreign associates on application matters.
