Job summary

Cincinnati Eye Institute is seeking a part-time PAT Registered Nurse in Pre-Op/PACU to provide quality patient service during preoperative assessment and scheduling.

The role involves coordinating pre-admission testing, conducting phone history assessments, communicating with physicians and anesthesia staff, maintaining patient databases, and ensuring a smooth surgical schedule. The ideal candidate has an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, and BCLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license with BCLS required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Experience in at least one nursing area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a computer database for tracking surgical patients.
• Schedule patients for surgery after pre-admission testing.
• Review all pre-admission testing for surgical patients.
• Conduct phone assessments to obtain medical history.
• Coordinate with physicians and anesthesia staff for pre-op readiness.
• Assess allergies and arrange allergy testing when appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
