Job summary

Cincinnati Eye Institute in Blue Ash, OH seeks a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) in Pre-Admission Testing to assess, plan, implement and document patient nursing care according to established standards and ASC policies.

Responsibilities include using databases to document surgical information, conducting pre-op phone assessments, coordinating with schedulers and physicians, and maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
• One year of prior nursing experience in surgical/ASC/pre/post-op settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize a computer database to obtain and document information on surgical patients.
• Conduct a phone assessment of each surgical patient to obtain medical and medication history.
• Evaluate patients for allergies and reconcile with pre-operative eye drops.
• Communicate with Surgery Schedulers regarding patient needs and pre-surgical paperwork.
• Communicate with Primary Care Physicians and specialists to obtain information for pre-operative evaluation.
