Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PAT RN to join our fast-paced ASC team. The PAT nurse will implement physician orders and deliver continuous, high-quality nursing care with emphasis on patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

Under RN management, you may assist physicians in procedure rooms, support conscious sedation, and maintain sterile technique as appropriate. The role includes caring for patients emerging from anesthesia and planning for discharge with family

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years' experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and physicians.

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingslandis seeking a motivated PATRN to join our team.Memorial Hermann Memorial Surgery Center Kingslandis a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience forpatients and their families.

• Monday to Friday work schedule
• Open two Saturday’s a month; must work at least one Saturday a month.
• NO CALL required
• Off most holidays.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the RN manager, the PAT nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Texas
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
