Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PRN RN PACU to join our team in a fast-paced ASC environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care. The role offers Monday–Friday work with two Saturdays per month and no required call, along with holidays off.

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse will implement physician orders, monitor patient status, and ensure safety and comfort from recovery through discharge.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in Wisconsin.
• Experience in PACU or post-anesthesia care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous nursing care per physician orders with safety emphasis.
• Assess patient condition, plan and evaluate care for discharge readiness.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed, including conscious sedation and sterile technique.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
