Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PRN RN PACU to join our team in a fast-paced ASC environment focused on high-quality patient care. The role involves managing post-anesthesia recovery, providing safe and compassionate care, and supporting physicians during procedures.

The nurse will implement orders, monitor patient condition, and assist with conscious sedation and sterile technique as required.

• Implement physician orders and maintain continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient readiness for discharge.
• Provide patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times; assist physicians in procedure rooms as needed.

• Monday to Friday work schedule
• Open two Saturday’s a month; must work at least one Saturday a month.
• NO CALL required
• Off most holidays.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
