Job summary

Memorial Hermann Memorial Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PAT RN to join our fast-paced ASC team. Under the supervision of the RN manager, the PAT nurse delivers patient-centered care for patients emerging from general anesthesia or sedation, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy throughout recovery.

The ideal candidate is a Texas-licensed RN with 1–3 years in PreOP/PACU, active BLS/ALS/PALS, and a collaborative team approach.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with unrestricted Texas license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years' previous PreOP/PACU experience.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Implement physician orders and ensure continuity and quality of nursing care with continual evaluation of patient condition, safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family in preparation for discharge.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
