Job summary

Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PRN RN PACU to join our team in a fast-paced ASC environment committed to high-quality patient care for patients and families.

Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse will implement physician orders, monitor patient condition, and ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times, while assisting physicians in procedure rooms as needed, including conscious sedation and sterile technique.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family for discharge readiness.

• Open two Saturday’s a month; must work at least one Saturday a month.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Pre-Op/PACU manager, the PACU nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients'' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
