Job summary

You will follow Standard Recipe Cards, maintain clean workstations, and support the Pastry Chef with daily prep, quality control, and timely service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year experience in a pastry kitchen, preparing and cooking.
• Be ready to assist fellow staff and work as part of a team.
• Able to read and understand basic baking and cooking directions.
• Able to communicate effectively with managers, employees and guests.
• Flexible schedule for days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Constant standing and walking with occasional bending or lifting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all dessert and baked goods on the menu using the standard recipe card.
• Adhere to portion sizes, cooking methods and kitchen rules and procedures.
• Complete a Daily Prep List and Closing Checklist for the shift while keeping a clean workstation.
• Report shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to the Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.
