Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality seeks a Pastry Cook for a new venue opening in a five-star hotel on Park Avenue in Manhattan's NoMad district, expected early 2027. You will prepare desserts and pastries, oversee the pastry station, ensure quality and on-time service, and contribute to a high-volume kitchen.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of baking or pastry experience required; relevant education or equivalent Tao Group Hospitality related experience required.
• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all restaurant foods, hot and cold. Responsible for working in all aspects of food preparation.
• Oversee station workflow and ensure on-time service from start to finish.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned station.
• Follow FIFO and company mise en place standards; stock station with prescribed supplies.
• Communicate product needs to chefs and support staff; work as part of a team.
