Job summary

Sur La Table, a premier in-store culinary retailer, seeks a Chef Instructor, Pastry to lead baking classes and deliver hands-on pastry instruction. You’ll showcase pastry techniques, teach recipes, and drive sales of bakeware and decorating tools through engaging sessions.

This is a part-time, on-site role in a dynamic store. Availability 12–16 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities to grow as you share your passion for baking with guests and customers.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• A culinary arts degree is preferred but not required.
• Food Manager Certification is required or preferred per policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-store pastry classes with expert instruction.
• Promote Sur La Table products during classes and events.
• Communicate complex pastry concepts clearly and encouragingly.
• Stay current on products and participate in available training.
