Sur La Table is seeking a Chef Instructor, Pastry to serve as the in-store expert for all things baking and pastry arts. You will deliver exceptional pastry classes and personalize instruction, supporting company initiatives and helping guests discover bakeware and decorating tools.

The role focuses on teaching, customer engagement, and driving class enrollment and retail sales, with a strong emphasis on quality service and safety in a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Degree in culinary arts preferred; extensive culinary experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by delivering memorable, educational pastry experiences.
• Lead pastry and baking classes to drive sales of bakeware, mixers, and decorating tools.
• Explain technical pastry concepts in a clear, approachable manner.
• Maintain product knowledge and participate in available training to stay current.
