Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Chef Instructor, Pastry to lead hands-on pastry classes in-store, sharing baking fundamentals and advanced techniques with customers. You’ll drive class enrollments and promote bakeware and decorating tools while delivering exceptional, cookbook-style instruction.

You will represent the brand, stay current on product knowledge, and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment that inspires repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old at time of employment.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Degree in culinary arts preferred; extensive culinary experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable pastry experiences.
• Deliver in-store pastry classes and drive sales of bakeware and decorating tools.
• Communicate pastry techniques clearly and encouragingly to students.
• Maintain product knowledge and participate in available trainings.
