Qualifications

• Current or recent designation as a passport acceptance agent in a post office, county clerk office, library, or similar setting.
• At least one year helping the public with passport applications.
• Working knowledge of passport forms, fees, identity and citizenship documents, and rules for minors.
• Clear, precise written communication.

About this role

OpenTrain is recruiting for a Passport Application AI Evaluation Expert to help improve AI systems that address passport questions. You will use your passport acceptance experience to assess whether applicant questions sound authentic and whether generated answers are accurate, complete, useful, and aligned with current guidance.

Working arrangement and compensation

This is a remote contractor engagement for a short-term project requiring 20-30 hours per week. The advertised compensation range is $30‑$40 per hour. Your practical knowledge of passport acceptance procedures is more important than prior AI experience.
