Job summary

Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient Access team. The role focuses on accurate patient registration and efficient service delivery.

The candidate will work across multiple systems, be cross-trained in various patient access areas, and uphold HIPAA, EMTALA, and AHCA/JCAHO requirements to protect patient privacy and ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years customer service experience required.
• 1–2 years healthcare experience required.
• 1–2 years insurance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Uses multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross-trained to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence for in-person and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members.
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
