Position

Baptist South is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN opportunity. Full availability required, including nights and weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross‑trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face‑to‑face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO.
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non‑clinical team members.
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms.
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Experience Requirements

• 1‑2 years Customer Service Experience Required.
• 1‑2 years Healthcare experience Preferred.
• 1‑2 years Insurance experience Preferred.

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma Required.
