Job summary

Michaels in Greensburg, PA is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute multiple events, including children’s parties, in a fast-paced retail environment. You will work closely with customers of all ages to create fun, engaging experiences that reflect Michaels standards and safety policies.

You will demonstrate crafts, supervise activities, and coordinate event add-ons like goody bags and balloons while ensuring excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with guests of all ages.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Retail or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s parties.
• Engage with clients to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate projects and perform face painting and activities.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks like emails and calls.
• Ensure client satisfaction and uphold safety standards.
• Set up, break down, and clean after each event.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
