Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events and craft classes at our Pittsburgh-area store. You will engage guests of all ages, ensure a fun and safe environment, and support daily store operations, including checkout and restocking.

Ideal candidates bring enthusiasm for children’s events, strong communication, and solid retail or service experience, with the ability to multitask and adapt to client feedback while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating events, including children’s parties.
• Excellent people skills and verbal/written communication.
• Retail or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events within the Michaels store, including kids parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages and provide friendly shopping assistance.
• Assist with checkout, store recovery, and merchandise tasks per Brand Promises.
