Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s birthday parties, while delivering friendly customer service and a smooth checkout experience. You will engage with guests of all ages, instruct crafts, and manage event add-ons and communications with clients and team members.

The role supports store operations, maintains safety standards, and participates in daily store tasks to ensure a joyful, organized shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience engaging guests of all ages in a retail or events setting.
• Ability to coordinate multiple events and tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence and problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow SOPs and store policies.
• Retail experience and willingness to support store operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events such as children’s birthdays and classes.
• Engage customers of all ages with a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and guide craft projects, and assist with party add-ons.
• Assist with checkout, store tasks, and customer questions as needed.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
