Job summary

Acteon-Group is seeking a Party Chief for the Americas Region Offshore. This senior on-site role requires extensive offshore survey experience and hands-on leadership to ensure safe, timely execution and QA across projects from design to asset life extension.

The candidate will supervise operations, manage mobilization, ensure compliance with procedures, and lead data reporting per client specs. Strong communication and team management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of Offshore Survey experience in Construction Support, Pipelay, LBL, IRM, Geophysical Survey or Wind Farm projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Survey/Geodetics/Geomatics is required.
• Familiar with 4DNAV and EIVA Online Software is preferred.
• Experience in Deep Water Construction Survey and LBL Operations is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for reports and client updates.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to lead a team of 4+.

UTEC are looking to hire Party Chief on a full-time, permanent basis to join the team in the Americas Region Offshore. The Party Chief is UTEC’s senior onboard representative and must ensure that all work is conducted in the best interests of UTEC and the Client. Must thoroughly understand work specifications, project requirements and client objectives, and is responsible for the safe, efficient and timely execution of, as well as Quality Assurance for the project.

Duties

• Supervise survey operations ensuring safe working practices at all times and with due regard to contractual requirements, scope of work, procedures and regulations
• Manage mobilization and demobilization activities with regard to safety of personnel and assets
• Ensure all systems are functioning in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company procedures to effectively conduct the scope of work
• Ensure collection, collation, QC and distribution of all survey data relating to the scope of work as per project procedures and company procedures.
• Advise onshore management, company and client representatives when deviation from the approved procedure is necessary and record through the Management of Change Procedure
• Compile operational / field reporting in a concise manner and in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
• Complete final reporting and data transfer / backup in accordance with accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
• Effectively communicate with client representatives and company representatives onshore
• Ensure all personnel in the offshore team understand their roles and responsibilities
• Conduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reports and provide specific performance data/feedback to supervisors of non-direct reports assigned to your projects

• Actively participate and lead by example in the Company’s Quality and HSE Systems and Procedures
• Understand and comply with UTEC PPE requirements, policies and procedures
• Be prepared to “Stop the Job” in the event that yourself, others or equipment may be exposed to injury / damage

Required

• At least 10 years of Offshore Survey experience handling either of these types of work Construction Support, Pipelay, LBL, IRM, Geophysical Survey, Wind Farm
• Minimum bachelor’s degree holder in the field Survey/Geodetics/Geomatics
• Familiar with 4DNAV & EIVA Online Software (Preferred)
• Experience in Deep Water Construction Survey and LBL Operations (Preferred)
• Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills for Report Writing and Daily Communications with Clients
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing a team of 4-man or more
