Job summary

Acteon Group’s UTEC division seeks a Survey Engineer for offshore and onshore survey operations. The role entails configuring equipment on vessels, calibrations, and ensuring safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

Travel and long hours are expected, with extensive time at sea in challenging environments. Education in electronics/engineering is preferred and prior survey experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Education in Electronics / Engineering preferred.
  • Relevant industry experience or military/academic experience in survey related discipline.
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work with others.
  • Ability to achieve results with high accuracy and precision.
  • Able to work independently and within teams.
  • Experience in Industry Standard Survey Packages preferable.
  • Must hold a valid passport enabling travel to company locations.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with survey sensors across different operations.
  • Interface equipment and sensors through survey vehicles to online systems.
  • Understand electronics and wiring symbols; manage IT and networking solutions for onboard survey networks.
  • Set up and test data protocols, CCTV/video systems, and video distribution on vessels.
  • Create vessel wiring diagrams and setup notes in software.
  • Maintain calibration, inventory, and certification of offshore survey equipment.
  • Operate online software during survey operations.
