Job summary

UTEC, Acteon's Geo-services unit, seeks an experienced Party Chief for the Americas Region Offshore. You will lead offshore survey operations, ensure safety and quality, and manage data integrity and client communications in a dynamic field environment.

Role demands 10+ years of offshore survey experience, a bachelor’s in Survey/Geomatics, and strong leadership with a focus on HSE and reporting. The position is full-time and based offshore in the Americas region.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of offshore survey experience in Construction Support, Pipelay, LBL, IRM, Geophysical Survey or Wind Farm.
• Bachelor's degree in Survey/Geodetics/Geomatics or equivalent.
• Familiar with 4DNAV & EIVA Online Software (Preferred).
• Experience in Deep Water Construction Survey and LBL Operations (Preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client reporting and daily updates.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing a team of 4+ personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise survey operations ensuring safe working practices and compliance with contract requirements.
• Manage mobilization and demobilization with safety of personnel and assets.
• Ensure all systems meet project procedures and company standards.
• Coordinate data collection, QC, and distribution per procedures.

UTEC are looking to hire Party Chief on a full-time, permanent basis to join the team in the Americas Region Offshore. The Party Chief is UTEC's senior onboard representative and must ensure that all work is conducted in the best interests of UTEC and the Client. Must thoroughly understand work specifications, project requirements and client objectives, and is responsible for the safe, efficient and timely execution of, as well as Quality Assurance for the project.

Duties

• Supervise survey operations ensuring safe working practices at all times and with due regard to contractual requirements, scope of work, procedures and regulations
• Manage mobilization and demobilization activities with regard to safety of personnel and assets
• Ensure all systems are functioning in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company procedures to effectively conduct the scope of work
• Ensure collection, collation, QC and distribution of all survey data relating to the scope of work as per project procedures and company procedures.
• Advise onshore management, company and client representatives when deviation from the approved procedure is necessary and record through the Management of Change Procedure
• Compile operational / field reporting in a concise manner and in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
• Complete final reporting and data transfer / backup in accordance with accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
• Effectively communicate with client representatives and company representatives onshore
• Ensure all personnel in the offshore team understand their roles and responsibilities
• Conduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reports and provide specific performance data/feedback to supervisors of non-direct reports assigned to your projects
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned. Perform other duties or tasks as assigned
• Actively participate and lead by example in the Company's Quality and HSE Systems and Procedures
• Understand and comply with UTEC PPE requirements, policies and procedures
• Be prepared to "Stop the Job" in the event that yourself, others or equipment may be exposed to injury / damage

Required

• At least 10 years of Offshore Survey experience handling either of these types of work Construction Support, Pipelay, LBL, IRM, Geophysical Survey, Wind Farm
• Minimum bachelor's degree holder in the field Survey/Geodetics/Geomatics
• Familiar with 4DNAV & EIVA Online Software (Preferred)
• Experience in Deep Water Construction Survey and LBL Operations (Preferred)
• Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills for Report Writing and Daily Communications with Clients
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
