Job summary

NFI is seeking a Service Writer in Illinois to manage parts inventory, coordinate orders, and support the service team. The role requires accurate data entry, proficiency with Excel/Word, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Forklift certification is a plus.

You will enter invoices, track parts with the Warranty Department, and assist the Service Manager with scheduling work. Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Proficient data entry and typing skills.
• Experience with MS Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to obtain forklift certification.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Control parts distribution to mechanics and technicians.
• Coordinate part orders and maintain repair orders.
• Stock parts shelves and keep the parts room organized.
• Enter all invoices for parts and outside repairs.
• Coordinate returns with Warranty Department.
• Assist Service Manager with scheduling work.
• Enter data for repair orders and invoices.
• Handle phone duties and DVCRs from drivers.
• Track EZ-Pass and Qualcomm devices.
