Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Effingham, IL is seeking an Inventory Specialist. You will ensure the availability of maintenance parts, receive and stock parts, and process orders to support technicians and outlying locations.

The role requires basic knowledge of vehicle parts, 1–2 years of office experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, perform regular cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy-duty truck parts preferred.
• 1–2 years office experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle parts, maintenance, and repair preferred.
• Valid DOT Medical Card preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Issue replacement parts to mechanics and technicians.
• Receive, verify, and unpack parts from vendors.
• Stock, tag, and disburse parts per policy.
• Prepare purchase orders for parts and equipment.
• Conduct weekly cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Reconcile inventory reports and investigate discrepancies.
• Process warranty claims and track credits.
• Maintain accurate inventory data for management decisions.
• Operate company vehicle on routes to outlying locations as needed.
• Ensure clean, organized stock rooms and safe operations.
• Support transfer orders to relieve main inventory where applicable.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
