Job summary

Suburban Automotive Service is seeking a detail-oriented Parts and Materials Coordinator in Sterling Heights, MI. You will order parts, maintain the parts cage, and help technicians obtain the correct components to complete repairs efficiently.

The role requires basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend work may be required on occasion, with hours Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
0–1 year of automotive parts experience preferred.
Automotive parts knowledge required.
Basic PC skills and MS Office familiarity.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Billing parts and processing invoices in company software.
Receive and inspect parts for damage and accuracy.
Process and file parts paperwork.
Update software to reflect parts on order.
Coordinate between dispatch and coordinator to meet deadlines.
Operate a forklift.
Order shop supplies as needed.
Ship parts via FedEx.
Assist other departments as needed.
