Job summary

Suburban Automotive Service in Warren, MI is seeking a Parts and Materials Coordinator to manage deliveries, inventory, labeling, and program launches across GLS locations. You will handle FedEx/UPS shipments, log parts in Excel, maintain organization, and prepare shipments with invoices and labels.

Must hold a valid driver's license and DOT/chauffeur's license. Hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have DOT/Chauffer's License.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be a reliable team player.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications preferred.
• Hi-Lo experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn Hi-Lo is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all receiving deliveries: FedEx, UPS, and Central Transportation.
• Inventory count of received parts, logging inventory into Excel.
• Label and put parts away into their appropriate location.
• Identifying new incoming programs, organizing parts based on part numbers, labeling, and preparing for the new program to launch.
• Pulling exporting parts for programs to ship, getting parts properly packaged, creating an invoice, and shipping labels.
• Point of contact for parts requests from other GLS locations.
• Travel to off-site locations for delivery when required: GLS Paint Shop, GLS Romulus, GM Tech Center.
• Uphold the warehouse cleanliness.
• Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
