Job summary

GLS North America in Sterling Heights, MI is seeking a Parts and Materials Coordinator to manage part orders, track inventory in ECVMs, and bill parts to dealers and repair orders.

You will collaborate with technicians to identify correct parts, update NetSuite records, and ensure timely invoicing while upholding SAS values. Hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a starting pay of $16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Dealer or service parts knowledge required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Must be a reliable team player.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be 18+.

Responsibilities

• Submit orders for parts.

• Update GM Inventory Management systems like ECVMs.
• Receive and bill all parts to the correct accounts.
• Bill out parts to repair orders in NetSuite.
• Research and follow up on parts issues to find solutions.
• Receive and verify all dealer-installed (LPO) parts from accessory deliveries.
• Receive and verify all parts for retrofit operations.

As a Parts and Materials Coordinator, you will execute the responsibilities for the parts operation, work with the technicians to identify the correct parts for the job, order, track and invoice as parts are received and uphold the standards for GM safety and SAS Values.

The pay rate for this role starts at $16 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm.

Parts and Materials Coordinator Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:

• Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and automotive fluids.
• This position is performed both inside and outside so weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.
• This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, all day.
• Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 30 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
