Job summary

The City of Houston’s Fleet Management Department is seeking a Customer Service Representative II - Parts Inventory for the Parts Division. This role performs clerical duties related to ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing parts, tools, and materials, and supports JIT warehouse operations.

The position includes customer service responsibilities, inventory controls, and occasional driving to inventory sites.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or a GED.
• Two years of administrative or customer service-related experience is required.
• An Associate's degree may be substituted for up to two years of the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Ordering, purchasing, receiving, stocking, storage, issuance, and distribution of parts, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, inventory, and surplus property.
• Support inventory item maintenance and Just-In-Time warehouse operations.
• Oversee customer service to ensure efficient parts support and conduct inventory counts at multiple locations.
