Job summary

The Cy-Fair Fire Department is seeking a Fleet Parts Specialist to manage parts, inventory, and service writer support within the Vehicle Maintenance Division. The role includes ordering, receiving, verifying, labeling, storing, and securing parts, plus data entry, cycle counts, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of mechanical repair/maintenance experience or equivalent (preferred).
• Preferred up to 18 months of automotive/vocational training (e.g., NIASE).
• Knowledge of automotive parts and inventory management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock parts for the fleet of vehicles and equipment.
• Pull parts for technicians and assign to work orders.
• Reorder stock parts and adjust stocking quantities.
• Perform shipping/receiving of parts and documentation.
• Maintain clean, secure parts rooms and storage areas.
