The City of Austin’s Fleet Mobility Department is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist II to join our centralized warehouse team. You will verify, issue, and track automotive parts, manage stock levels, and process purchase requests with accuracy and adherence to city guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least three years in warehouse/inventory control, with forklift or pallet-lift experience and valid Texas driver’s license.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent and three years of experience in warehouse/inventory control.
• Preferred automotive shop environment experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required or ability to obtain one.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, verify, and issue inventory; resolve discrepancies and track variances.
• Prepare items for shipment and determine economical shipping methods.
• Maintain inventory levels, forecasts, and cycle counts.
• Collaborate with purchasing, vendors, and staff to resolve issues.
• Operate pallet lift or forklift and support warehouse operations.
