Job summary

Cy-Fair Fire Department is seeking a Fleet Parts Specialist to manage stock parts and supplies for the fleet, assist the Service Writer, and ensure timely parts availability for service orders. You will handle ordering, receiving, labeling, storing, and documenting parts, while supporting inventory control and reporting.

The role involves data entry, cycle counts, and coordination with technicians and vendors to maintain accurate records and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year mechanical repair/maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain State of Texas Class B exempt license within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock parts and supplies for the Department's fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Provide support to the Service Writer and assume duties in the Service Writer's absence.
• Pull parts for technicians and assign parts to the appropriate work orders.
• Reorder stock and adjust stocking quantities based on usage.
• Perform shipping and receiving of parts, equipment, and documentation related to Fleet Services.
