A Day in the Life:Parts Sales Specialist

• Greet customers, collaborate on parts needs in person, by phone, and online by asking questions to identify a solution, process the order, complete the sale


• Place machine down orders and stock orders as requested


• Process parts requests for internal and external customers


• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays and participates in cycle counts andphysical inventory when scheduled

Need to Succeed:

• Enjoy being customer-facing, positive attitude, willingness to learn, good communication and excellent attendance


• Attention to detail, problem solving skills, customer service skills and recent computer use with experience in dealership software and parts/inventory systems a plus


• Ability to handle high volume of customer inquiries with timely follow up and not afraid to answer the phone

Performance Expectations

• Execute parts sales transactions with 98–100% accuracy


• Achieve $1,000,000 in parts sales over a rolling 12-month period (could be higher or lower dependent on equipment mix supporting local store)


• Maintain 28–32% gross margin on sales and meet freight recovery goals


• Process internal (inter-company) parts transfer requests


• Supply service technicians with required parts in a timely manner and participate in annual physical inventory counts

Physical Requirements

• Regular and timely attendance required and ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted


• Ability to work in warehouse and shop environments, including moving parts and equipment
