Job summary

ASCO Equipment in Sherman, TX is seeking a Part Counter Specialist in a part-time capacity to assist customers and service technicians with parts needs. You will coordinate ordering, tracking, and inventory to minimize downtime and support repairs and preventative maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a parts specialist, strong customer service and communication skills, and proficiency with computers including G-Suite and parts software. Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a parts specialist preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership.
• Detail oriented with strong time management and teamwork.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with computers; experience with G-Suite and parts programs.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service with warm greetings and eagerness to help
• Identify machine make/model/serial numbers by asking questions
• Investigate part needs and determine additional parts required
• Fulfill parts orders from in-stock inventory and place orders as needed
• Match orders with packing slips accurately
• Collect customer payment information/POs and call on past due accounts
• Use manuals and microfiche to identify parts
• Maintain accurate parts inventory

Job description

ASCO Equipment has a part time opportunity for a Parts Counter Specialist in Sherman, TX. The Parts Counter Specialists will be responsible for aiding both customers and in-house service technicians in fulfilling their parts needs. The Parts Counter Specialist will coordinate the logistics of ordering/tracking parts and manage inventory with the overall goal to minimize equipment downtime needed to complete repairs and preventative maintenance. The Part Counter Specialists will be responsible forproviding superior service while working with customers over the phone and on a walk-in basis.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior customer service with warm greetings and eagerness to help
• Ask questions to accurately identify machine make/model/serial numbers
• Investigate part needs and determine what additional parts would be needed
• Fulfill parts orders with in-stock inventory & place orders as needed to meet customers needs in a timely manner
• Accurately match orders with packing slips
• Collect customer payment information/POs and call on past due accounts
• Utilize resources, (online manuals, microfiche) to properly identify parts needed
• Maintain accurate parts inventory
