Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Program Manager to build and run our partner network, turning an early program into a reliable operation. You will recruit and onboard partners, coordinate agreements and payments, manage external providers, support local events, and review service quality to drive ongoing improvements.

You will work with local operators and internal teams to ensure clear commitments, timely work, and high-quality support for the communities OpenAI serves.

Qualifications

• 8+ years owning a complex partner, community or operational program from design to execution at scale.
• Strong operational judgment across onboarding, financial workflows, events and multiple stakeholder groups.
• Ability to earn trust with small-business owners, local operators and community leaders.
• Practical familiarity with ChatGPT, Codex and AI-enabled workflows; communicate with technicals and non-techs.
• Use data and qualitative feedback to distinguish outcomes from activity counts.
• Clear writing, early risk communication, and autonomous collaboration across teams.
• Experience creating playbooks, support systems or automation for scale.

Responsibilities

• Build the partner operating model from sourcing to onboarding, renewal and exit with clear owners and timelines.
• Coordinate onboarding with Legal, Finance and Procurement; track agreements and vendor setup.
• Manage partner payments, reporting, and related processes.
• Plan and support local workshops, deployments and events with partners.
• Coordinate program marketing and communications with teams; guide brand and messaging approvals.
• Foster trusted relationships with local operators and organizations served by the program.
• Create reusable systems like knowledge bases, logs and playbooks to reduce manual work.
• Develop and operate partner review processes using delivery data and beneficiary feedback.
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to assess program impact.
• Manage budgets, vendors, risks and dependencies; keep stakeholders informed.
