Job summary

LifeWorks Austin is seeking a part-time Client Transportation Specialist to provide safe, reliable transportation for clients of the Emergency Shelter. This role supports client services by coordinating trips to school, appointments, employment, medical care, and other approved destinations, in collaboration with shelter staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and navigate locations throughout the community.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates transportation for clients to activities such as school, appointments, job interviews, and medical visits.
• Provides safe, timely transportation using personal and agency vehicles following safety procedures.
• Communicates transportation schedules and client needs with shelter staff.
• Maintains professional boundaries and client-centered support while transporting youth and young adults.
• Completes transportation documentation, vehicle logs, and incident reports accurately.
• Performs basic pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks and reports maintenance or safety issues.
