LifeWorks Austin in Austin, TX is seeking a Youth Care Worker for our Emergency Shelter to provide care and support for youths aged 13-19 in a 24-hour licensed residential facility. The role focuses on safety, supervision, and helping youth meet personal goals within a strengths-based framework.

Responsibilities include facilitating day-to-day activities, coordinating transportation, administering medications, and ensuring compliance with licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Requires 1+ year of related experience; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Supervises clients and the facility by overseeing their care and safety.
• Ensures client safety and engagement services.
• Coordinates and helps with transportation for clients.
• Engages with youth on topics like identity and mental health.
• Manages emotional and escalated situations using approved techniques.
• Documents daily notes, logs, and incident reports.
