LifeWorks in Austin, TX is seeking a Youth Care Worker for our Emergency Shelter. The role is full-time, on-site, and involves supervising youth, ensuring safety, and supporting daily activities in a 24-hour residential setting.

Responsibilities include case support, transportation coordination, medication administration, and collaboration with the team to meet each youth’s goals while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with state standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Requires 1+ year of related experience; or
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Supervises clients and the facility by overseeing their care and safety.
• Ensure client safety and engagement services and escort transportation as needed.
• Maintain daily notes, logs and incident reports while protecting client confidentiality.
• Assist with intake, discharge, orientation, and medication administration.
• Follow DFPS standards and LifeWorks safety plans; engage in trainings.
