Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring a Youth Development Leader in Pearland, TX for before/after school and day camp programs. You will bring energy, creativity, and compassion to create a safe, fun, and enriching environment for youth.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, 6 months of youth work in licensed settings, and completion of CPR/First Aid/AED and child-protection training. Part-time, with varied shifts, training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of experience working with youth in licensed settings or similar.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to plan and lead age-appropriate activities.
• Pass state/local background checks and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Lead before/after school and day camp programs with energy, creativity, and care.
• Create a safe, fun, and enriching environment where youth feel supported and valued.
• Model YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring, and faith.
• Maintain a clean, organized program space meeting standards.
• Build relationships with children, families, school staff, and YMCA team.
