Job summary

Owen Health Care Inc. seeks a Part-Time Individual Support Worker to assist behavioral therapists in creating tailored programs for children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

You will travel to homes, implement service plans, and ensure a safe, supportive environment for youth and families. Strong communication with families and professionals is essential, as is experience with positive behavior support and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills.

Qualifications

• Must have experience implementing positive behavior support plans for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for families and professionals.
• Ability to work independently, follow protocols and ensure safety during home visits.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized service plans and behavioral therapy programs in home and community settings.
• Provide behavioral interventions and support to youth with IDD.
• Monitor, document observations and modify activities to meet therapeutic goals.
• Develop engaging recreational activities to support emotional and social growth.
