Job summary

Owen Health Care Inc is seeking a Part-Time Individual Support Worker to join a team that supports children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will travel to homes, collaborate with families and professionals, and help implement behavioral therapy programs tailored to each youth.

Candidates should have a college degree with one year of experience or a HS diploma with at least three years of supervised experience in positive behavior support and ADL training.

Qualifications

• Requires college degree with one year of experience or HS diploma/GED with at least three years supervised experience implementing positive behavior support plans and teaching ADL/Instrumental skills to individuals with IDD.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized service plans.
• Provide behavioral interventions in home and community settings.
• Actively manage youth with behavioral challenges.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment and teach positive behavioral practices.
• Monitor and document observations of youth behavior and adjust activities accordingly.
• Develop and implement engaging recreational activities to support emotional and social growth.
