Job summary

YMCA seeks a part-time Sports Instructor in Seekonk, MA to provide high-quality sports instruction in line with YMCA standards. The role includes planning, setup, and maintaining safety during activities, while engaging with participants and parents to foster a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting safety rules, reports, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively to members or the public.
• Bilingual ability is a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide enjoyable, high quality class instruction.
• Instruct progressive skill instruction per YMCA standards.
• Set up and break down equipment as needed.
• Outline program goals for participants.
• Find coverage for self and notify the Program Director of changes.
• Encourage participants and represent the YMCA positively.
• Assist members with information about programs and schedules.
• Maintain health and safety of all participants; report incidents.
