Job summary

YMCA of Central Massachusetts is seeking a Youth Instructor for part-time hours in Westborough, MA. You will setCurriculum and run youth and preschool classes, ensuring safe, positive experiences while upholding YMCA values.

The role requires CPR/AED/First Aid certification, ability to teach activities, and strong interpersonal skills. This is a part-time position with opportunities to support the YMCA mission and participate in staff trainings.

Qualifications

• Current CPR, AED and First Aid Certifications
• Ability to assist in teaching an activity
• Ability to relate to one’s peer group
• Good character, integrity, and adaptability
• Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
• High School student or equivalent and at least 16 years of age

Responsibilities

• Accept and promote the positive values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
• Set curriculum and run the youth and preschool classes.
• Observe and enforce safety regulations.
• Provide opportunities so every participant experiences success.
• Help participants meet their goals.
• Administer first-aid and/or CPR as necessary.
• Attend staff trainings and meetings.
• Support the mission of the YMCA of Central Massachusetts.
