Job summary

Marketplace Chaplains is seeking a Chaplain for a part-time, remote-capable role serving employees and their families in the Chillicothe-Waverly area of Ohio. The Chaplain will provide spiritual support, confidential pastoral conversations, and occasional on-site visits at client worksites, hospitals, and homes.

The role emphasizes interfaith collaboration, Christian ministry values, and compassionate care, with visits to workplaces and communities, including funerals and grief support as needed.

• Skills to effectively listen and interact with clients, employees, and their families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and to MCHAPs Ministry values.

Responsibilities

• Makes regular visits to company worksites to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship.
• Visits employees or immediate family members wherever care can be expressed and help given: hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, family residences, or other sites.
• Provides confidential pastoral discussions for problems of employees and their immediate family members.
• May assist in planning, conduct or attend funerals for employees or immediate family members.
• May make jail visits to employees and immediate family members.
• Works with companies to serve notifications of death and serious injuries to families and other employees.
