Marketplace Chaplains seeks a Part-Time Chaplain to serve employees and their families remotely across client sites in the United States. The role emphasizes compassionate pastoral care, spiritual guidance, and practical resource referrals within a Christian ministry context.

Responsibilities include regular visits to worksites when possible, confidential discussions on personal and family matters, and coordination of assistance.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to work within an interdisciplinary group and interfaith setting.
• Strong listening and interpersonal skills for clients and families.
• Spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian lifestyle and MCHAP values.
• Diplomacy, patience and courteousness with diverse groups; maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent oral and written communication to leadership, colleagues and families.
• Analytical thinking to define problems and follow up on objectives.
• Computer proficiency with Google Suites, Microsoft Office or similar tools.
• Active state driver’s license and state auto insurance where servicing clients.

Responsibilities

• Make regular visits to client worksites, usually weekly, to build relationships of trust and friendship.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for personal issues and refer to specialized services as needed.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and provide follow-up support during grief periods.
• Support notifications of death or serious injuries to families and employees as appropriate.
• Offer post-termination care for employees to ease transitions to new work environments.
• Support but not lead spiritual enrichment activities in employee-sponsored settings.
• Distribute literature and resources to assist employees with life issues.
• Represent ministry in client interactions and participate in new employee orientation.
