Job summary

United Way of the Midlands is seeking a Program Assistant (Weatherization Program) in Omaha, NE to provide administrative support to the Manager, Eligibility Operations and assist in 211 and Weatherization projects.

The position requires an Associates degree in a business-related field and 2–4 years of related experience, with strong organizational and communication skills. This on-site role offers flexible duties within the Programs department.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a business-related field or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Manager, Eligibility Operations.
• Assist 211 and Weatherization programs and projects.
• Verify and organize applications; assist in approvals and denials.
• Communicate with Weatherization Program participants.
• Communicate with 211 Financial Assistance program participants.
• Attend staff meetings and take notes.
• Maintain and update participant and program files.
• Handle inbound calls when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
