Job summary

Sorenson Communications is expanding its Video Relay Service (VRS) interpreting team in Atlanta, GA. This part-time, on-site role supports Sign-to-Voice and Voice-to-Sign interpreting, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The position offers flexible shifts, opportunities to earn CEUs, licensure reimbursement, and access to premium shifts that enhance hourly wages. Candidates will interpret ASL to English and must meet licensure requirements; prior VRS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; VRS experience preferred.
• Interpreting experience preferred; willingness to obtain/maintain licensure as required.
• Ability to pass required skills assessment and maintain performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret between ASL and spoken English.
• Maintain compliance with licensure/certification requirements.
• Comply with Sorenson policies, FCC regulations and RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Maintain attendance and scheduling flexibility to meet VRS demands.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and promptly; adapt to changing technologies.
